Mission & Vision
The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Here in Australia we echo that very same strategic intent, of working with business, industry and stakeholders. Furthermore our objective is to facilitate and co-ordinate knowledge exchange, provide value added services to members as well as provide a meeting point where organisations, now matter how large or small, can build best practice around corporate social responsibility and citizenship. At the inaugural general meeting of the United Nations Global Compact Network in Australia, the following was endorsed as our vision and mission statements:
Vision: Australia’s strongest corporate citizenship movement committed to the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Mission: To engage the UN Global Compact signatories in Australia through local events and the fostering of a strong, supportive network of like-minded businesses.
