GCNA Secretariat
The United Nations Global Compact Network Australia has its Secretariat located at St James Ethics Centre in Sydney Australia.
The role of the GCNA Secretariat is to support the Board, members and signatories of the UN Global Compact Network Australia. The Secretariat works closely with the Board of the GCNA and the Australian Network Representative, Matthew Tukaki, to assist in communicating with members and signatories, implementing the activities of the Australian network and growing the membership base. The Secretariat is located at St James Ethics Centre in Sydney Australia, a foundation member of the GCNA.
The Secretariat function is managed by Sarah Davidson. Prior to this role Sarah was the Planning and Development Manager for St James Ethics Centre’s national Responsible Business Practice Project, funded by the Australian Government through Treasury, which included involvement across the work of the UN Global Compact Network Australia, the Global Reporting Initiative, the Corporate Responsibility Index and the Good Business Register®.
Sarah’s background includes extensive experience as a senior manager in corporate, professional service firm and not-for-profit sector roles primarily in the areas of strategic planning; business development; corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Business Administration with distinction and is a graduate of St James Ethics Centre’s Vincent Fairfax Fellowship. She has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and is admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
Sarah’s experience has allowed her to work with state and federal government, companies, small to medium enterprises, law firms, academia and the not-for-profit sector in Australia, United Kingdom, Asia and Europe.
